The Good

A lot of useful information about in-ear monitors, how they work, and what differentiates UE from everyone else. Excellent technical explanations of the products, along with a lot of reviews. Easy to checkout and finish the sale. Great products.

The Bad

No free shipping on $900 in-ear monitors. No free shipping on their own products. Less than objective. Too many other sections distract from the core, which makes it less likely that one will shop here and look for UE products elsewhere.

The Verdict

The world's premier manufacturer of in-ear monitors runs a solid shop and has the technical specs to back it up. The customer service department knows its stuff as well as any other, so it only frustrates us that one has to pay shipping on $900 earphones.

The website is fairly well organized, although there is a lot of professional user content that is likely to intimidate the average consumer. Categories are clearly defined and broken-down making it easy to locate specific products. It took just three clicks to locate the super-fi 5 Pro’s that we were looking for. The site does offer ‘Help’, which we tested to gauge response times and quality of information. What makes the site worth visiting is all of the educational material that explains the technology and what differentiates UE from its competitors.

Our experience shopping online was generally positive. We were, however, surprised to discover that one had to pay for shipping on a $900 pair of headphones. Not a deal breaker, but it makes one wonder about buying elsewhere.
