Radio Shack
Radio Shack is popular for selling home audio products at affordable prices. However, you’ll notice that most of the products they sell aren’t exactly high-end. This applies to their headset selection, as well. When browsing for headphones at RadioShack.com, we found that most fell below the $50 range. Only a few fell within the $200-$400 range (these were wireless headphones). Also, Radio Shack manufactures their own audio products, all of which are conveniently priced (Radio Shack headphones cost anywhere from $3.99 – $40). We found about 20 Radio Shack headphones. Other brands include Altec Lansing, Boostaroo, Coby, Cyber Acoustics, Etymotic Research, Griffin, JVC, Koss, Logitech, NXG, Panasonic, Philips, Plantronics, Presidian, RCA, Sennheiser, Sony, Ultimate Ears, h2o Audio, and more. We noticed that a majority of the headphone selection consisted of earbuds and earclips. We also noticed the headphone accessory category was rather skimpy. We found one surround sound receiver, one headphone volume booster, and… well, not much else.

We noticed RadioShack.com also features an “On Sale” and “Outlet Store” section, so consumers have the option to sift through products listed for less. The Weekly Ad section asks visitors to plug in their zip code to view the latest Radio Shack deal.
Fortunately, if you’re unsatisfied with a product, you’ll be refunded the price if you return the product within 30 days. Radio Shack is a name that’s been around for decades (since 1921, actually). Naturally, they’re a well-known retailer. If you’re looking to buy a pair of ‘phones that won’t cost a fortune, you should definitely take a look here. Otherwise, look elsewhere.
