The Good

Unique selection of products from Japan that you cannot find elsewhere. Great place to shop for STAX, Audio-Technica, JVC, and Sony. Prices are quite good.

The Bad

Can only take orders via the website. Shipping takes a little longer because it is coming directly from Japan. Customer pays shipping costs if they have to be returned. Shipping can be expensive depending on the weight.

The Verdict

If you really want a specific headphone or headphone amplifier from Japan that is hard to locate on these shores, then this store will probably be your best option. The return policy is tough, especially because you have to send it back to Japan, so be sure before you order. A very unique place to shop.

One of the most unique retailers on the web, AudioCubes is a serious place to shop if you are looking for products from Japan that are either impossible to find here, or not likely to be here anytime soon. The reality is that many great products are released in Japan and never see the light of day in North America for many years. If you are looking for that rare pair of headphones from STAX, Audio-Technica, Sony, or even JVC, these people carry them. The shipping/return policy is a tad strict due to the Japan-issue, but they do lay it all out there for you to read before buying so don’t blame them if the product is not what you wanted. The prices are also quite reasonable compared to what is charged on these shores.
