Great gaming earphones that improve the gaming experience.
Obviously the first thing you are going to notice about the Shure E4G earphones is the way that they look. They’re a sleek piece of equipment that might just change the way you game. These gaming headphones are designed to block out external noise so that you can hear all of the little sounds that make your games more interesting and unique. Make sure you seat them properly in your ears.
I had to try on more than one of the different sleeves to find the ones that fit best in my ears. That was easy to do and since these came with a full selection to choose from, I didn’t have to get frustrated about it. That put my mind at ease right off the bat.
The other thing I looked at right away was the wiring. Many of the headphones on the market today have really wimpy wiring and in no time at all, the sound is breaking up and getting fuzzy. That drives me crazy! Especially when I’m putting out big bucks. Well, the wires on the Shure E4G look and feel pretty tough. I have a hunch they’ll stand up well over time. If not, I’ll surely come back and edit this review!
To help keep the wires and the little ear pieces in top notch condition, they come with a cool zippered carrying case. They also have a cable spool that keeps them from getting tangled up all the time. This, too, should go a long way towards keeping the wires safe.
The rubber earpieces were much more comfortable than some of those hard-shelled ones you can buy, but it still took some getting used to. And it seemed like the more I wore them, the better they started to feel. These earphones are kind of like a good leather shoe, you know… the kind you have to break in. Once we got used to each other, it was all good. I liked that the Shure E4G eliminates that bruised ear feeling that other earphones give me.
I really liked the sound quality on the Shure E4G earphones. The gaming experience instantly became a lot more real and I felt like I was actually in the game itself. The same goes for listening to music: the bass was deep and higher-pitched sounds were nice and smooth. But for the best bass experience, you’ll want to insert them deep into the sleeves. This makes a big difference. It will also help them better fit in your ear and block out external noises. I liked the bass on these, but I’ve definitely heard better. That said, for gaming these will do fine. Actually, they’ll do better than fine.
The Shure E4G earphones are a great buy for gaming as well as for listening to music. They’re comfortable in the ears, plus the sound is clear and rich. The price might not be as low as other competitors’, but at least the quality is there.
