Ever wonder what types of earphones U2, Bon Jovi, David Letterman, Jay Leno, and the Saturday Night Live crew use on stage? Future Sonics, they say. Established in 1985, this highly esteemed company was the first in customizing professional earphones - built to fit virtually any ear. Their earphones are manufactured for personal monitoring for professional musicians, engineers, for broadcasting, and much more. Future Sonics was founded by Marty Garcia when he was working with Todd Rundgren. They came up with a few innovative solutions that encouraged Garcia to sell his production company and start up Future Sonics.
After twenty years of experience and a vast amount of time and money invested in building the quality of their earphones, the company is proud to present their new Atrio Series. With MG5Pro professional drivers, stage, studio, broadcast multimedia, Truetimbre frequence response, multiple fit options, crossover-free architecture, a 100% armature-free design and upgrade options for fit customization, it’s clear the new Atrio Series has a lot to offer. It’s interesting to see that Future Sonics uses a single driver system during a time when competitors like Shure are using multi-driver in-ear monitors. Earlier in 2007, Future Sonics and Hear Technologies announced their new agreement for distribution of the M5 and M8 Atrio Series. The M5 model is black onyx in color, and the M8 is a blue cobalt.
So far there’s only been positive feedback from the professional and audiophile community. They must be doing something right in those Future Sonics labs.
The new Atrio Series earphones are priced at $199 and are available at www.earmonitors.com.
