Audio Technica Pro 70 Review

Audio Technica Pro 70A condenser microphone suited for acoustic guitar and vocal applications.

Audio Technica Atm25 Review

Audio Technica Atm25 ReviewGreat sound quality for close-up vocals

The microphone has the ability to handle very high SPL while it operates at close range. The rugged construction with multi-level grille makes it ideal for both indoor and outdoor use.

It is not suited for live performance if there is no sound amplification.  You may also experience some pickguard problems.

Audio Technica ATM25 is a light microphone that makes it easy to carry. You are also bound to enjoy the base quality. However, the pickguard issues can not only be irritating but also interfere with quality of production.

Audio Technica ATM25 Review

The microphone has a superb double-bass capability, which is especially suited for live performances.  It provides a significant amount of gain before suffering from any feedback problems. Whether you are using kick drum, trombone, or any other loud and low bass instrument, the bass cabs are fantastic. It also sounds great on a snare drum and electric guitar. Audio Technica ATM25 is basically a bass microphone since it operates in the low frequency range, from 30 Hz to 15 KHz.

If a band is being recorded in the same room, the hypercardoid quality of Audio Technica ATM25 will prove very useful. Although it is good to have bleed, there are situations when you may wish to control it.

You may also use the Audio Technica ATM25 microphone for voice-over applications.  This should not be much of a problem in spite of the absence of a roll-over switch.

This dynamic microphone works well both in the recording studio and on stage, although you may need significant amplification.

Its rugged construction and lightness makes it ideal for carrying.

Audio Technica AT4033A Review

Audio Technica at4033a ReviewMaster the vocal track with ease

By far one of the best in its class for vocal mixing and recording, utilizing a 5-step process to not only transcribe clear and errorless audio, but to keep that quality going for many years down the road. A floating stand means the base and sensitive pickup-area are free from vibrations or other undetected disturbances, allowing full range of audio reception with minimal interference. Even nasty distortions caused by lower frequencies are removed through is pickup process, meaning each word and phrase can be heard as clearly as the last.

Results can vary with non-vocal performances such as instruments or other nonstandard methods. Mic and shock stand, while effectively durable, can still be sensitive to sudden movements or dropping.

In terms of condenser microphones, the Audio Technica at4033a is indeed a step above its familiars when it comes to the quality department – whereas most are better suited for a broader stage where sound can be received from any and all directions, the at4033a can be seen perfectly situated in even the most confined and quiet of spaces, its efficient isolation specs allowing for much more precise and specific points of reception. While the limitations of its power to mostly vocal work would have dropped this rating to a 3 at first, the considerable price for the item includes the shock stand and other basic materials that are normally sold separately for a pretty penny, giving it extra value as a whole.

Audio Technica at4033a User Review

As a professional singer, mic choice is by far one of the most imperative and important aspects of being “adequately equipped” for my career, especially when the balls in my own court – I don’t always have the opportunity to take myself to an actual studio when it comes time to update my vocal resume or toss out a new experimental song, and so even at home it’s a point of interest to seek out a product that will allow me to keep that studio quality while in the comfort of my workstation chair.

Naturally, this leads to quite a bit of online research and comparison, and eventually I was introduced to this microphone, the audio technical at4033a. I was a little disheartened at first to hear that it wasn’t really regarded for its quality with instrumentals, as I’d also been trying to help a friend of mine locate a replacement mic for his upcoming guitar album, but the stellar performance with man-made sounds flew right up my alley. I bought it alongside the appropriate pop filters and other optional but extremely helpful additions, and within days I’d wondered if I’d really need that studio time after all.

Though I wouldn’t recommend this microphone to those who are just starting out in this or similar fields, opting instead for a cheaper microphone that still allows a good amount of recording finesse as they continue to work on their ability and familiarity with the mic in general, the Audio Technica at4033a is undoubtedly a mic of choice for those who are well into the process of using their vocal instruments to help rocket their performance up to a professional level, one that I can foresee myself continuing to use for a good deal of time to come.

Audio Technica 4033 Review

Audio Technica 4033 ReviewA precision machine that gets rid of low frequency distortion.

Audio Technica 4033 allows superior isolation because of the custom shock mount. The floating construction capsule provides good isolation from vibration while allowing optimal sensitivity.

The shockmount is shocking with the rate at which it tears up. This is due to the use of cheap rubber bands, yet replacing the shockmount can prove pretty costly.

Audio Technica 4033 works great although it is a bit wanting with the low mids. Overall, the mic is recommended for both private and public uses.

Audio Technica 4033 Review

Superior listening experience

The circuitry of Audio Technica 4033 does not use any transformer, which removes distortion; hence creating a very clean signal. The circuitry provides a very quick transient response. Its nickel-plated brass element provides a great deal of stability and enhances sensitivity.

The use of open environment in the assembly of its housing also reduces internal reflections.  This means that Audio Tecnica 4033 is very sensitive.

Another advantage of the microphone is the fact that it will serve you for many years because the vapor-deposited gold diaphragm takes five steps in its aging process.  This ensures that it operates at a steady level for a long time.

Ergonomically, the Audio Technica 4033 is a very tough microphone that will not easily break up when it drops, which is inevitable once in a while.

The microphone is at par with many other higher-priced models.

Audio Technica ATR- 55 Review

Audio Technica ATR55A Microphone at its Intended Purpose

Better isolation from tape mechanism, and is unidirectional. It has great sound and good directionality.

It is so sensitive that it picks up the zoom motor of the camcorder and any other touches and bumps. It also has no battery light, weak/flimsy mounts.

It has a powerful pickup of sound; Unidirectional helps in reducing ambient noise, clear sound when doing interviews, overall value for the money.

Audio Technica ATR- 55 Review

Audio Technica is well- known in manufacturing different kinds of product and is specialized in microphones and many more has now created a cheaper but incredible product, bringing at this instant the Audio Technica ATR- 55 out in the market. The Audio Technica ATR- 55 is made for an easy use. It is a condenser shotgun microphone; it offers intelligible production for close-, medium-, and long- distance pick- up. The price of the Audio Technica ATR- 55 is very affordable and the quality is impressive parallel to its price.
As based from the user’s experience using the Audio Technica ATR- 55, in a normal mode and with the filter the ambient noise is gone. It is preferably better indoors. In a TELE mode and the wind filter, the voice is clear and the ambient sound is gone. The audio quality is very remarkable. Audio Technica ATR- 55 is reasonably light in weight. There is a difference between the up- close cardoid pattern and the long range shotgun setting. The Audio Technica ATR- 55 rejects mechanical noise compared to the built-in microphone (just don’t touch the cable or fiddle around with a long zoom lens).

The amplified TELE feature seems to reach out and grab sounds without picking up hardly any surrounding noise. It is uni- directional, as expected from it. The normal zone is about 120 degrees V in front of the microphone and the TELE are about a 90 degree V- zone. Filming a football game using the Audio Technica ATR- 55– one half in TELE mode and the other half in the NORMAL mode. The TELE mode was almost eerie, as it could pick up the voices out in the field, however, all the surrounding noise (crowd cheering/fans) could hardly be heard, while the NORMAL mode picked up a little more audience noise, so it sounded more natural, but nevertheless still filtered out the other people chit- chatting in the location(press tower).  The TELE mode is preferably good in lectures as it does not pick up distracting noises, including that of the camcorder’s mechanism. You must also be aware that this is not a stereo, so you should either get a mono-to- stereo adapter to use with it, or set the sound input on the camcorder to mono. Otherwise, you will only get sound coming out in only one speaker on stereo playback.

The Audio Technica ATR- 55 requires the use of one AA battery that is installed inside its aluminum shell. The battery seemed to last pretty well as one consumer has never depleted a battery in it, but routinely replace it once a year. As an extraction the Audio Technica ATR- 55 in a STANDARD MODE has great sound with good directionality, but is poor in range, while, TELE MODE has thin sound, good directionality, and does well in range. You just have to keep it mind though that it is a 40-dollar microphone not the usual $400 and its pretty perfect for a price like that already.

AUDIO TECHNICA 4050 Review

Audio Technica is well-known to design and manufacture a wide range of products; it includes high-performance microphones, headphones, noise- cancelling headphones, wireless microphone systems, mixers and electronic products for home and professional use worldwide.  Specializing in Microphones, Wireless Systems and Headphones, Audio Technica designed the Audio Technica 4050- a transparent and versatile microphone for an affordable price.

The Audio Technica 4050 is one of the best-selling vocal microphones. It is ideal for use in the most demanding recording situations for it utilizes a low-noise transformerless design and multiple polar patterns. It also uses dual gold- plated large- diaphragm condenser elements for extended frequency response.  The floating construction element gives isolation from noise and vibration. Audio Technica 4050 is a multi- pattern studio condenser microphone, 48V phantom power, switchable cardiod, omni, and figure-of-eight patterns.  Includes AT 8449 shock mount, microphone dust cover, and protective carrying case.

There were some who have used the Audio Technica 4050 in their studio for recording and found that the versatility of the microphone is very impressive and the response and reproduction of any high frequency is incredibly great. The versatility of the microphone goes with its sensitivity to sound; you will literally hear everything as to every crack, pop, growl, and any other fine distinction you put into your vocals will come through exactly as you delivered it. Whether you have a voice in the higher range to sing rock music, scratchy voice, and the screams of the 80’s at times, the microphone delivers it perfectly in time. The Audio Technica 4050 is also great for deep bass or baritone voice, as well as for low vocals. Since it is versatile this microphone also works well particularly in a female voice. There was somebody who had used this microphone with good results in his project studio, on vocals, guitars and hand percussion, and actually earned a major film festival award for the music he created in that studio.

The Audio Technica 4050 is also great on all kinds of stringed instruments as it produces an excellent transparent highs and mids balanced by rich low-end qualities, and it sparkles to make acoustic instruments come to life because of the advanced acoustic engineering that guarantees extensive performance capabilities and highest quality. The clarity of the words and sounds is due to the AT 4050’s transformerless circuitry that virtually eliminates low- frequency distortion and provides superior correlation of high speed transients. As used as drum overheads in XY, they give a natural kit sound without a ton of cymbal wash.

The figure-of-eight pattern mainly offers the flattest response curve. The cardiod and omni pattern give more treble/upper mids boost which is useful for some applications. The most important factor when deciding on what to choose is the price-to-performance ratio. Meaning, as the price gets higher the quality should also be better.  But offering you the Audio Technica 4050, it will give you a lesser and very affordable price for a quality that is so remarkable. To others, there is no better, more versatile microphone in the market than the Audio Technica 4050.
