Goldring has quite possibly topped itself with the Goldring NS1000 open box noise canceling headphones. They perform as advertised: Very faithfully and effectively. They may not be everyone's cup of tea, though; those who like their bass loud and in your face may be put off by the weaker bass on this model. Also, those who like their volume turned all the way up might start to see the sound integrity taper off. But, for the majority of listeners, these headphones will be a dream come true.

Goldring NS1000 Open Box Noise Canceling Headphones Review

The Goldring company has been quietly rising up the ranks in the headphone market for quite some time now. A few years ago, if you had mentioned the name Goldring, you would have been met with a puzzled stare. But now the company seems to be everywhere, and much of its growth is due to the company's “Active Noise Reduction” technology. And now, with the NS1000, the ANR technology finally has a set of headphones that can really show off the company's skills.

The  Goldring NS1000 offers the latest in noise canceling ability and can cut out more outside sound than nearly any other model in its price range. The best part, though, is that this technology doesn't affect the battery life of these wireless beauties. The AAA batteries can provide almost two full days of sonic bliss. The ear cushions are also some of the most comfortable ever made, practically encouraging you to listen for two days straight in order to test the battery life. The Hi-Fi performance is also very impressive to say the least and much of this is thanks to the hi-tech neodymium magnet drivers.

There are a couple drawbacks but, for the most part, they're minor. When you turn the headphones up at very high volumes, you might experience a bit of noise leakage. Also, those who like their bass to be intense and overwhelming might be disappointed by the warm, yet underwhelming bass on the NS1000. But these complaints will only apply to the most discerning listeners. The rest of us will enjoy the strength and durability of the headphones, as well as the very sturdy hard shell case that comes included in the package.
