These headphones have an effective noise-canceling feature. Available as wired or wireless (using Bluetooth). Great sound quality.
This model is a bit on the expensive side. Smaller than other noise-canceling headphones, which can be a problem in some cases.
Sennheiser PXC 310 NC
Quality music as you travel by air
A smaller model in the family of PXC noise-canceling headphones developed by Sennheiser, the 310 gives the great noise-canceling features using Sennheiser NoiseGard 2.0 technology for which the company is renowned for. NoiseGard is capable, according to Sennheiser, of canceling out 90% of external noise when you are wearing the headphones. The headphones take two AAA batteries to accomplish this feat, and you can keep it going for about 25 hours on one charge. The good thing is, you can keep using the headphones even with the noise-canceling switch turned off, which is not a feature you see in many noise-canceling headphones.
The Sennheiser PXC 310 also comes with an in-built jack that is compatible with the airplane sound ports of today, which means you can whip out your PXC 310 on a long flight to cancel out the incessant sound of the airplane's engines. The Sennheiser PXC 310 NC also comes with the great 'Talk
Through' option seen on Sennheiser noise-canceling headphones. This feature allows you to hear a specific external sound, such as someone talking to you, at the press of a button. This is particularly useful on flights when you want to hear what the flight attendant is asking you.
The design of the Sennheiser PXC 310 is rather smaller than its relatives in the PXC family, and the ear cups most likely won't cover the ears of larger people.
However, the noise-canceling features apply no matter whether you have completely covered your ears or not. Comfort is also one of the nice features of this headphone set.
Although expensive, the Sennheiser PXC 310 is a great choice for a noise-canceling headphone set.
